This book is about a girl, Anna, who has a sister that is suffering from leukemia. Anna has gone through many surgeries and transplants that would be done because of the needs of Kate. Anna is Kate's sister, so she has the closer genes and blood type to Kate. She "donates" her internal organs to help her sister survive. At a time where she needs to donate bone marrow, Anna has become worried and scared, since she has never had bone marrow transplanted before. She makes hard decisions that can ruin her life, the relationship between her family, and also the safety towards her sister. Which decision will she make that will shock everyone?

Did you see the movie? completely different.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Anna was actually born to help Kate, since none of the other family were compatible matches for all of her many transplant needs. This story was based on a real story about a family who had a baby specifically to help their older daughter survive her leukemia.
I totally agree with Christina because in the movie Kate actually wanted to die so her sister Anna helped out by creating a lawsuit against donating organs to her sister Kate.
