This is the first book of the Mortal Instruments series, and it is probably the best way to start off an amazing series. Clary Fray is a girl who is chosen to be a Shadowhunter, yet might be destined for evil. She has parents that are known for their good deeds and bad deeds in the world of Shadowhunters. Clary has to fight with her newly found friends, Jace, Alec, Isabelle, and Max to fight evil, and fight for the truth. Only one person stands in their way; Valentine. He is the main leader of evil and will do anything to stand in Clary's way of fighting for the truth. Clary and her friends will have to stand up together, and fight for what is right.
